We're looking for a talented full stack web engineer to join our growing development team based in Madison, WI. You will be a member of a smart, fun, and motivated team that is producing the latest in analytics and decision-making tools for the risk industry.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing and implementing JavaScript and Python applications with an emphasis on optimization, API design, and architecture. You will be working across the front and backend of our products to keep them performant, scalable, and beautiful.

DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES

· Collaborate, educate, and elevate the development capabilities of our team.

· Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

· Develop and enhance user-facing features with a focus on customer empathy.

· Build reusable code and libraries that scale across multiple use cases.

· Perform code analysis, requirements analysis, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis and software reliability analysis.

· Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation, and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

· Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Graphic Design or relevant field.

· Experience: 2+ years of experience in Design/Development.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

· Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or similar relevant field

· 2+ years of experience in web technologies, HTML, CSS, JavaScript

· Strong proficiency in the latest JavaScript (ES6)

· Developing user interfaces with ReactJS

· Experience with responsive design for desktop/mobile

· Experience working with Redux, React-Router, and other ReactJS focused libraries

· Working knowledge of Python 3.7+ and web server frameworks like Flask

· Familiarity with Docker in both development and production environments

· Experience with source/version control using git

· Appreciation of agile development and the ambiguity of a rapidly changing environment

· Familiarity with relational databases and RDBMS (PostgreSQL)
