Senior Software Engineer

Senior SWE | €75,000 - €85,000 + Benefits | Germany (100% Remote)

Are you ready to make an impact? As OPIA Associates has partnered with one of Germany's leading B2B platforms for sustainable mobility solutions, who is seeking multiple Senior Software Engineers to support their ongoing transformation!

Following a successful 2024, this organisation is undergoing rapid expansion. You will be key in supporting a critical migration from PHP to Kotlin Microservices on AWS.

Responsibilities

• Develop & maintain modern software solutions in a service-oriented architecture.
• Shape the architecture, API landscape & technical standards to develop scalable solutions.
• Support the migration from legacy PHP codebases to Kotlin Microservices on AWS.
• Ensure clean code & testability, conduct code reviews & promote best practices within the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field).
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in Software Engineering.
• Several years of professional experience in software development with a focus on Kotlin/Java.
• Deep understanding of modern architectural design and domain-driven design.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and experience with distributed systems.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
• Problem solver who can balance technical excellence with business requirements.
