Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re hiring a Marketing Data Analyst for a global gaming and entertainment leader.
This is a fully remote, 4–6 month contract + extension opportunity based out of Irvine, CA.
In this role, you’ll join the Analytics team to analyze and optimize social and video content performance across multiple high-profile game franchises. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver actionable insights that enhance publishing efforts and community engagement.

Marketing Data Analyst Responsibilities:
- Drive regular content performance reporting across publishing and release events.
- Standardize data formats, tagging, and frameworks across marketing teams.
- Develop KPIs and ensure they’re reflected in reporting dashboards.
- Partner with analysts to deliver quantitative insights to stakeholders.
- Track content cycles (patches, expansions, campaigns) and monitor community activity.
- Deliver actionable recommendations based on platform performance and trends.
Marketing Data Analyst Qualifications:
- 2+ years of data analysis experience in media planning, social media, or digital marketing.
- Proficient in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong familiarity with tools like Sprinklr, Stream Hatchet, Tubular, and native social analytics.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience developing social listening queries and reporting insights.
- Skilled in Microsoft and Google productivity suites (Excel/Sheets, Slides).
- Experience in gaming or with digital-first marketing teams (preferred).
- Background in marketing, data analytics, or paid media (preferred).
- Knowledge of SQL (BigQuery preferred); experience with Tableau, Looker, or Power BI (preferred).
- Passion for gaming and knowledge of major franchises (preferred).
