Overview
A dynamic and experienced Retail (DTC) Marketing Director is needed to lead all aspects of DTC marketing strategy and execution.
This remote role requires a hands-on leader with strong expertise across full-funnel marketing, including acquisition, retention, and reactivation initiatives across print + digital catalogs, email, and other digital channels.
The ideal candidate will bring a balance of creativity, analytical thinking, and operational excellence, along with proven experience in promotional planning, merchandising, and customer engagement strategies via digital and traditional consumer marketing.

Pay: $115,000 - $125,000 salary
Retail Marketing Director Duties
- Develop and execute integrated DTC marketing strategies and multi-channel campaigns
- Create and manage annual marketing plans and budgets in collaboration with leadership
- Own the marketing calendar and ensure timely execution of seasonal promotions and campaigns
- Align customer segmentation with acquisition and retention strategies
- Lead content planning and oversee the creation of print + digital catalogs, emails, and digital assets
- Manage direct mail, email, and digital advertising efforts
- Drive performance of loyalty and rewards programs in collaboration with eCommerce teams
- Partner with retail teams for cohesive brand messaging across all channels
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver on marketing objectives
- Provide creative direction, perform copywriting, and contribute to concept development
- Prepare and present reports on campaign performance and strategic initiatives
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and performance metrics (KPIs)
- Utilize project management tools to track and coordinate campaign workflows
- Hire, supervise, and manage internal staff or external vendors as needed
Retail Marketing Director Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in DTC or direct response marketing, within consumer products
- 8+ years of experience managing teams, vendors, and third-party partners
- Experience in traditional and digital marketing, both, including experience with print catalog marketing.
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing full-funnel marketing campaigns
- Strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in copywriting
- Balance of creative concepting and data-driven decision-making
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with analytics tools and pivot tables a plus
- Familiarity with social media platforms, CRM tools, and project management software (Wrike, Monday.com)
