Data Scientist[80262]

Onward Search is looking for a Data Scientist Level 3 to join a forward-thinking AI & Data Science team. This is a short-term contract opportunity to work on generative AI, NLP, and machine learning projects in a collaborative, innovative environment with REMOTE option.

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on AI/ML initiatives.
• Plan, execute, and report on generative AI and data science projects.
• Perform research, analysis, and modeling independently.
• Apply AI/ML, NLP, and generative AI techniques to production-level systems.
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders clearly.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in AI, ML, NLP, and generative AI systems.
• End-to-end experience in AI/ML model development lifecycle (design to deployment).
• Proficiency in Python and data science packages.
• Experience with LLMs and orchestration frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
• AWS or Azure experience preferred.
• Excellent collaboration, planning, and communication skills.
• PhD preferred; Master’s degree in AI, Data Science, or Statistics considered.
• 1–2+ years of post-graduate professional data science experience.
• K–12 educational ecosystem experience is a plus.

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with LangSmith.
• Production-level experience in generative AI projects.
