Model Governance Engineer (JOB ID 2318)

OneSparQ is looking for a Model Governance Engineer.

This position is fully remote, but candidates must be able to arrange and complete ID verification before starting at one of the following locations: Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Chicago, or Scottsdale.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years in Machine Learning, Data Science, Model Development/Validation, or AI Governance
• Strong hands-on experience with Neural Networks / Machine Learning
• Experience with Model Governance, Model Risk Management, or Responsible AI
• Strong knowledge of model validation, performance assessment, drift detection, bias testing & explainability
• Hands-on Python, Java & SQL
• Experience with Azure + Databricks + Spark
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. (Math background preferred)

Additional Skills: (not required)

• Experience building model governance frameworks/standards
• Building monitoring dashboards & governance metrics
• Experience with precision/recall, confidence scoring & statistical analysis
• Experience investigating model degradation, data drift & concept drift
• Experience with AI policy, regulatory compliance, audits, or Responsible AI

Resonsibilities:

• Build and oversee neural network / ML models
• Develop and maintain AI/model governance frameworks
• Lead model validation, performance reviews & risk assessments
• Monitor models for drift, accuracy, bias and degradation
• Develop governance dashboards, metrics & reporting
• Partner with Data Science, Engineering, Architecture & Business teams
• Maintain model documentation, validation reports & audit materials
• Investigate model performance issues and recommend corrective actions
• Communicate model risks, findings and recommendations to technical and business leadership
• Improve enterprise AI governance processes and standards
