About the role**
As a Principal Designer at Onepak, you will be a critical leader within our Product Design team. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role where you will be responsible for direction for our most complex and impactful product areas. You will work across multiple teams, mentor designers, and collaborate closely with product management, engineering, and business leaders to deliver world-class user experiences. This is not just a role for an expert in craft; it is a role for a systems thinker, a product strategist, and a compassionate leader.

What you'll do**
Strategic Leadership: Own and drive the design strategy for key product initiatives, defining the long-term vision and shaping product roadmaps.
Hands-On Design: Lead the end-to-end design process, from discovery to final deliverable, for new and existing features.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers and engineering leads to define requirements, scope projects, and ensure the successful delivery of products. You will be the design counterpart for multiple product and engineering teams.
Mentorship & Influence: Act as a role model and mentor for other designers, providing constructive feedback, raising the bar for design excellence, and fostering a culture of curiosity and collaboration. You will influence the entire design organization.
User Advocacy: Champion the voice of the user through user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions and build a deep understanding of our customers' needs.
Systems Thinking: Contribute to the evolution of our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across our product portfolio.
Presentation & Storytelling: Clearly articulate design decisions, product strategy, and user insights to a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Qualifications**
10+ years of professional experience in product design with a portfolio showcasing a strong track record of designing and launching successful products.
Strategic Visionary: You have a proven ability to think big, connecting the dots between user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility to define product strategy.
Master of Craft: In addition to product design, you possess a deep expertise in interactive design, visual design, and information architecture, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating polished, high-quality experiences within an agile-centric process. Expert level proficiency in the fill Figma suite is required.
Exceptional Communicator: You can articulate complex ideas with clarity and confidence, and you are comfortable presenting to and influencing diverse audiences, from designers to executives.
Collaborative Leader: You are a natural leader who inspires trust, builds consensus, and brings out the best in others. You are humble and willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.
Problem Solver: You thrive on tackling ambiguous and complex problems, breaking them down into manageable parts, comfortable employing object-oriented UX methodology and leading teams to elegant solutions.
Systems-Minded: You understand the importance of design systems and have experience building, contributing to, or leveraging one.
