- Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications with Python or Node.js on the backend and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks on the frontend.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business problems into scalable, cloud-native technical solutions.
- Architect and provision cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK.
- Integrate AI tooling (e.g., Claude, Copilot, Cursor) into daily development workflows to accelerate delivery, and build AI-powered features — RAG pipelines, LLM integrations, agentic workflows — into customer-facing products.
- Partner with the data engineering team to model, query, and leverage graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune) for connected-data use cases.
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for streamlined, reliable software delivery.
- Design and operate scalable, observable services on AWS and/or Azure, applying cloud best practices for security, cost, and reliability.
- Design and build scalable, well-documented APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) and integrate them with API gateway frameworks such as AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management, or Kong.
- Mentor engineers across the team, raise the bar on code quality through reviews, and champion engineering best practices.
- Stay current on the evolving AI, cloud, and full-stack landscape, and bring practical innovations into the team.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve production systems to ensure performance, reliability, and security.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack software engineer, including time in a senior or technical-lead capacity.
- Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript (including Node.js for backend services), with hands-on experience in a modern frontend framework (e.g., React, Next.js, Vue).
- Practical experience applying AI tooling (Claude, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to development workflows, and building LLM- or RAG-based features into production applications.
- Working knowledge of graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, TigerGraph) and query languages such as Cypher or Gremlin, with the ability to collaborate effectively with data engineering on graph-backed solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong experience designing and operating services on AWS and/or Azure, including networking, IAM, observability, and cost management.
- Strong API development skills, including designing scalable REST and/or GraphQL APIs and integrating with API gateway frameworks (e.g., AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management, Kong, Apigee).
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar) and apply modern DevOps practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
