Must be based in the state of New York, California, Illinois, New Jersey, or Connecticut. This role will be fully remote.

OGAKI is the social-first agency for prestige beauty brands. Select clients include Laura Mercier, Bare Minerals, Dr. Diamond's Metacine, and EltaMD.

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Social Media Designer will work closely with the Head of Social to ideate & create engaging, on-brand social content for a variety of clients, with a focus on Instagram and TikTok.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Working with Organic Social and Paid Social teams to create engaging image and video content, utilizing approved creative direction

· Supporting on creative concept development

· Leading graphic design, creating social-first graphic posts, copy overlays, and Instagram Story layouts with both video and image assets

· Editing video and image assets to create final social-first posts

· Sourcing inspiration and stock assets for clients

· Supporting on creative direction, templates, and layouts of social media strategies and playbooks

· Supporting on creative direction, templates, and layouts of agency proposals and client decks

· Staying up-to-date on social media trends and maintaining a sharp awareness of current and emerging trends in the social media landscape for effective content creation

· Organizing and keeping track of available client assets

· Attending internal team calls and occasional client calls

· Communicating with clients and internal cross-functional teams as needed

· Supporting the Creative and Social Media teams with day-to-day needs

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Knowledge across all social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok

· Expertise in graphic design, both with video and image assets

· Expertise in creating both organic and paid social assets

· Expertise in image and video editing

· A passion for producing social-first content

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly moving environment

· Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to strategize and produce creative concepts that reflect each brand’s objectives

· A strong eye for visual composition

· Knowledge in beauty, wellness, and lifestyle categories

· Proficiency required in Figma

· Proficiency preferred in Adobe Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, AfterEffects, and Premiere Pro - along with social editing tools like Canva and CapCut

· Working knowledge of Google Suite

· Experience with project management tools such as Clickup a plus

· Experience with social media planning tools such as Dash Social a plus

· Experience with Slack a plus

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

· Experience as a graphic designer for 4-7 years

· Agency experience required; beauty experience preferred

· Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio of creating and editing social-first content

· Understanding of marketing, social media, and brand identity design

· $100k-$125k/year based on experience; full-time role
