Why This Role Matters
This role is critical to drive acquisition, engagement, and retention in a product where user activation and lifetime value make or break the business. You’ll be the owner of our email and messaging engine — not just a campaign executor. You'll shape automations, build data connections, test growth hypotheses, and directly influence revenue KPIs.
What You’ll Own
- You’ll lead the lifecycle marketing function across Klaviyo, Spoki (WhatsApp/SMS), and a custom-built eCommerce stack.
- Map user journeys and architect automations based on events, behaviors, and API triggers
- Own all Klaviyo flows: onboarding, post-purchase, cross-sell, reactivation
- Integrate and operate Spoki automations for transactional and retention messaging
- Manage product data dynamically in email content using custom payloads and event logic
- Design, track, and report on KPIs: open/click/conversion/LTV metrics
- Analyze performance and launch rapid A/B tests to optimize deliverability and conversion
- Collaborate with Tech to set up webhook logic and data flows (no Shopify, no CRM)
- Partner with content/design, but drive strategy and execution end-to-end
What You Bring
- 5+ years experience in email marketing with deep Klaviyo expertise
- Proven use of Spoki or equivalent platforms for WhatsApp/SMS automation
- Strong technical knowledge of API, webhooks, and custom event structures
- Analytical mindset with experience in performance reporting, pivot tables, dashboards
- Experience working in non-standard tech stacks or custom-built platforms
- Excellent written/spoken English
- Self-starter mentality: you bring clarity to chaos, take ownership, and move fast
Bonus Points
- Worked in fintech, crypto, trading, gaming or other compliance-heavy industries
- Familiarity with SQL or BI tools
- Experience scaling messaging in high-volume B2C environments
