The IT Applications Support Engineer is responsible for leading application-related projects from planning through implementation, supporting enterprise software systems, and providing advanced troubleshooting and user support. This role also contributes to IT security, documentation, training, and continuous improvement of system performance and user experience.
Position is remote.
Essential Functions:
Lead and manage projects through full lifecycle: requirements, scope, schedule, budget, and deployment.
Coordinate internal and external resources to meet project goals and timelines.
Analyze project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet deliverables.
Serve as primary contact for stakeholders on project updates and changes.
Troubleshoot application-related issues escalated from the Helpdesk.
Maintain software documentation and training materials.
Monitor system alerts and respond via ticketing system.
Provide user support and training for IT software, including after-hours support.
Support IT security initiatives as first-level response.
Maintain application performance metrics and configuration change records.
Ensure proper operation of enterprise applications and initiate updates or improvements.

Work Environment:
Subject to multiple interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. This is a high paced position and can be stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. This person might sometimes experience disagreeable odors, sights and/or unpredictable patient behavior. Work requires spending 90% of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes. May be required to travel to locations over multiple days, in and out of state.
