What is Obinex?
Obinex is a Pre-Seed stage Startup on a mission to develop a simple ecosystem to facilitate the adoption of the centralized economy in the decentralized space and give way to a more secure centralization. As we are in a very early stage, the equity offering is the only part of the conversation until we are funded. This will be subject to a probationary and vesting period.
What will you do?
As a Lead Product Designer at a Pre-Seed FinTech startup, you will be responsible for leading the vision and execution of designs within our product design team, ensuring that solutions are functional, intuitive, visually appealing, and aligned with business objectives. This role combines strategic leadership, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and advanced design skills. Below are the main tasks and responsibilities of a Lead Product Designer:
- Product Strategy & Vision: You will collaborate with our Lead Game Designer and Head of Product to define the product vision, user goals and business objectives, conducting market and competitor research to align design goals with industry trends.
- User Research: You will plan and execute user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather insights into user needs and pain points. Besides of that, you will synthetize findings into actionable insights and personas.
- UX Design: You will manage a team a 2 or 3 Product Designers, and together you will design user flows, wireframes, and interaction models that prioritize user efficiency and clarity, addressing unique challenges like transaction workflows, trading interfaces, and security notifications.
- UI Design: You will develop high-fidelity designs and prototypes, focusing on a seamless, visually compelling experience tailored for diverse user levels, defining and managing a scalable design system for consistent branding and usability.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: You will work closely with developers to ensure technical feasibility and provide guidance on design implementation, collaborating with marketing teams to align design elements with branding strategies.
- Gamification of transactions: You will develop player economic behavior and market activity to detect potential imbalances or opportunities for improvement. This could include competitive dynamics or rewards for completing certain actions.
- Continuous Iteration: You will use analytics tools and user feedback to refine and improve the product post-launch, staying agile and iterate based on rapidly changing priorities and market demands.
- Leadership & Mentoriship: You will guide and mentor junior Product Designers or contractors, fostering a design-first culture, advocating for user-centered design across the organization.
- Documentation and collaboration: You will create flowcharts and clear documentation on how the system works, avoiding financial imbalances that put Obinex' credibility at risk.

- Experience in Financial or Trading Platforms: Proven track record of designing complex interfaces like trading dashboards, wallets, or transactions systems.
- Strong UX/UI Expertise: Deep understanding of user-centered design, interaction models, and accessibility best practices.
- Proficiency in Design Systems: Experience creating and maintaining scalable design systems that ensure consistency across platforms.
- User Research Skills: Ability to conduct and analyze user interviews, usability testing, and behavioral data to inform design decisions.
- Agile and Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable working in fast-paced environments, collaborating with developers, product designers, product managers and stakeholders.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Capable of guiding junior designers, advocating for design within the organization, and managing design deliverables.
- Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to simplify complex workflows and design intuitive solutions for diverse users.
- Knowledge of Security & Compliance: Familiarity with design considerations related to security, KYC/AML processes, and sensitive user data.
- Basic Development Understanding: Knowledge of HTML5, CSS 3, and front-end constraints to facilitate collaborations with engineering teams.
