Job Title: Development and Marketing Director
Full/Part Time: Part-Time (4 day/wk)
Location: Primary work location is in Oakland, California (at the office and/or remotely), with some travel required to campsite in Quincy, CA during summer months (rustic, charming camp accommodations provided)
Compensation: $95,000 USD annually, non-negotiable
Duration: At-will year-round
Classification: Salaried, Exempt
Reports To: Executive Director

About OFRC:
Oakland Feather River Camp (OFRC) has been in operation since 1924, with a mission to promote and celebrate connections between nature, family, and community, creating unique opportunities to advance environmental appreciation, cultural diversity, and youth empowerment. Each year, we welcome hundreds of campers of all ages from Oakland and the San Francisco Bay Area to our property in the Plumas National Forest. OFRC strives to serve the families of Oakland with our signature Family Camp Program, and we also partner with the City of Oakland's Parks, Recreation, and Youth Development Department. Finally, we partner with several rental groups throughout each summer, including non-profit and corporate retreats, education and recreation programs, and even weddings!
Position Purpose:
The Development and Marketing Director is a full-time, year-round position responsible for leading and executing fundraising and marketing strategies for Oakland Feather River Camp (OFRC). This role ensures the organization has the necessary resources to support its mission and programs by managing all aspects of development, including major giving, institutional support, annual giving, and special events like the annual gala. The director also oversees marketing efforts to retain current and attract new campers, donors, and institutional partners, strengthening the camp's brand and community presence.

The ideal candidate for this role is a dynamic and hands-on leader who thrives in a community-focused environment. They should possess a strong background in fundraising and marketing, with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt quickly to changing needs. This person will have experience with grant management, special events, and digital marketing, and will be comfortable working with a diverse team that spans generations.

Work Environment and Physical Aspects of the job:
This position can be remote, but will require travel to camp and to frequent events in Oakland. The role involves regular computer use and requires the ability to work in a collaborative, hands-on environment. At times, the position may require physical tasks related to event setup and breakdown.
Compensation and Benefits:
