About The Role

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Professional B2B Marketing to lead our healthcare provider–focused marketing strategy, programs, and team. This senior leader will develop and execute comprehensive multi-channel marketing initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, adoption, and growth among key healthcare audiences including veterinarians, practice administrators, and clinical staff. The ideal candidate brings 10-15+ years of B2B marketing experience in healthcare, pet care, or related markets, with proven leadership of high-performing teams and measurable business impact.

As a key leader within our organization, you will shape how veterinary professionals and internal stakeholders interact with our brand across touchpoints—ensuring we are a leader in the practice of evidence-based medicine and research in support of our vision to Revolutionize Veterinary Medicine.

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Drive reputation for the organization as a leader in the science and clinical care for pets.
  • Define and deliver the B2B marketing strategy for the science, clinical, Ethos Discovery and VetBloom Learning & Development platforms aligned with overall business goals.
  • Lead go-to-market planning and drive awareness for educational campaigns, publication of research, scientific studies and strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on market insights, competitive landscape, and long-term growth opportunities in the veterinary care ecosystem.

Campaign & Program Execution

  • Develop integrated marketing programs including content, digital, events/conferences, clinical education campaigns, and sales enablement resources (for our referral relationship managers).
  • Ensure all marketing strategies and communications are tailored effectively to professional healthcare audiences (e.g., vets, nurses, technicians, lab directors, industry partners).
  • Use data, analytics, and KPIs to evaluate program performance and optimize marketing investments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Medical, Science, Ethos Discovery, Training/Education, Innovation and Referral Management to drive alignment and integrated execution.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts to produce compelling clinical, technical, and scientific content that resonates with target audiences.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing team (currently 5 direct reports).
  • Establish clear goals, performance metrics, professional development plans, and a culture of accountability and innovation.
  • Advocate for the team’s needs and contributions within the broader organization.

Brand & Thought Leadership

  • Strengthen brand positioning in the professional veterinary market.
  • Lead development of thought leadership assets, clinical marketing materials, scientific communication, case studies, and customer success stories.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Oversee marketing budgets, ensure efficient allocation of resources, and measure return on investment.
  • Manage relationships with agencies, vendors, partners, and compliance/legal teams as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including significant experience in healthcare, veterinary care, pet care, medical devices, or pharmaceutical/biotech sectors.
  • Leadership: Proven experience managing and developing marketing teams (minimum 5+ direct reports).
  • Audience Expertise: Deep understanding of marketing to healthcare professionals, clinicians, technical decision-makers, and scientific communities.
  • Strategic & Analytical Mindset: Ability to develop marketing strategies rooted in data analysis, market research, and competitive insights.
  • Executional Excellence: Track record building impactful programs across digital, content, events, and sales enablement channels.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex scientific/technical information into compelling marketing content.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM, analytics, and ABM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo).
  • Background in scientific marketing, clinical communications, or educational campaign execution.
  • Familiarity with veterinary industry trends, professional education ecosystems, and healthcare provider decision-making processes.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $145,000-$185,000. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Company offers competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and more depending on location.
