Role Overview

The Nursa Product and Engineering team is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Marketplace team to aid in the development and improvement of both existing and novel features for our rapidly expanding app. Must be located in Poland or Latin America to be considered.

The Marketplace team is responsible for enabling clinicians (nurses) to quickly and easily find shifts to work on. Our focus is to ensure that the Shift List is personalized to the clinician’s preferences, so they can find suitable shifts without delays. We are dedicated to connecting qualified clinicians with the most suitable shifts, making the process seamless, efficient and driven by machine learning. Additionally, our team oversees the search & filter experience powered by Algolia and is in the midst of developing a ground up Schedule experience for all user types.

Responsibilities

Work on projects that span our Google Cloud Platform stack including JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Nest.js and AlloyDB
Work closely with your peers to reinforce standards and practices in daily work
Translate business needs into sustainable system architecture and modular design for maximum efficiency, scalability and reliability
Implement complex software features with high quality; perform validation and verification testing
Stay updated and apply modern software practices like test-driven development, collaborative programming, and acceptance tests in your implementations
Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including User Experience Design and Product Management to achieve delightful customer experiences
Deliver features requiring close coordination with adjacent teams
Regular and consistent communication of progress on projects and tasks

Qualifications

5+ years of relevant experience building and scaling consumer facing applications
Self-starter that identifies problems, brings solutions, and is not afraid of ambiguity to achieve the necessary clarifications
Ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment
Experience with Node.js and working with JS frameworks such as Angular, NestJS
Experience with Git source control and ideally cloud based Git providers such as GitHub and GitLab
Understanding of object-oriented programming paradigms
Cloud infrastructure development experience, GCP a plus
Demonstrate out-of-box thinking for creative solutions to complex problems
Experience in Healthcare or a two-sided marketplace is a plus
