The Role
The Microsoft Purview Engineer will serve as NuHarbor's technical SME allowing the business to quickly deploy Purview at NuHarbor and client sites. The Microsoft Purview Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the activities necessary to successfully deploy Microsoft Purview within a Client environment. This role involves collaborating with Client stakeholders and other technical teams as needed to deploy NuHarbor's Purview as a Service. They will take direction from the Microsoft Purview Program Manager to support the successful deployment Microsoft Purview.

Provide Client-Focused Services
Collaborate closely with clients to understand their security and data governance requirements.
Offer expertise and advice based on your previous experiences with Purview deployments.
Participate in client meetings and presentations.
Drive Implementation of Key Purview Features
Create custom sensitive information types (SITS) and identify applicable built-in SITS in Purview's Information Protection tool.
Develop and implement data labels through Purview label policies.
Deploy Purview's Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution, including identifying data types, scope, actions, and proper test methods.
With support from NuHarbor's governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) experts, guide clients through security assessments and improvement actions using Purview's Compliance Manager.
Develop Documentation for Clients
As a part of implementing Microsoft Purview at client sites, you will be expected to create documentation and reports for a range of stakeholders.
Assist Program Manager with enhancement of client deliverables to accommodate specific client needs or requests.
Stay Current with Microsoft Purview Updates
Exercise continuous learning through staying up to date on Microsoft Purview feature updates and releases. Be able to summarize changes to NuHarbor and client stakeholders.
Serve as a point of contact for clients on questions about Microsoft features.
Your foundation. The requirements for this role:
Bachelor's Degree and three (3) or more years of experience. Experience should be in a cybersecurity field (Information Technology, Information Security, Data Governance, etc.)
Typical Degrees: Cybersecurity, Computer Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related field(s).
In lieu of a degree, six (6) years of experience in a related technology field and relevant industry certifications are required.
Hands-on experience working independently and with a team to manage a data governance solution (like Microsoft Purview).
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Purview and its features.
Strong understanding of data governance, data labeling, DLP, and Purview compliance manager.
Demonstrated expertise in communicating highly technical details to a non-technical audience.
Must be a citizen of the United States.
Additional capabilities that will differentiate you for this role:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Governance role.
Active Microsoft certifications in one or more of the following, acquired at least 1 or more years ago:
Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate (SC-400).
Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900).
Experience with PowerShell scripting.
Exposure to Purview integration with Defender and Sentinel.
Experience in a similar role within a security product or services company.
