Principal AI Product Engineer (.NET)
Remote (Australia & New Zealand) | Up to $250,000 + Super
Join a global SaaS company that's already delivering AI capabilities into production and is now looking for someone who can take them even further.
This isn't an AI research role.
It isn't a prompt engineering role.
And it isn't about building another chatbot.
This is a rare opportunity for a senior product engineer who's repeatedly built, shipped and evolved AI products in production, and wants to help shape the next generation of intelligent product capabilities used by thousands of customers.
You'll be working across C#, .NET and modern web technologies, embedding AI into real customer workflows while helping raise the technical bar across the engineering team.
What You'll Do:
- Design, build and ship customer-facing AI capabilities across a mature SaaS platform
- Own AI features from technical design through to production, monitoring and continuous improvement
- Build scalable backend services using C#/.NET
- Develop robust APIs and modern web applications
- Evaluate, iterate and improve AI systems using real customer feedback and production learnings
- Work closely with Product, Design and Engineering to solve complex customer problems
- Help establish best practices for building reliable, scalable AI-powered products
- Mentor engineers and contribute to the future direction of AI across the platform
You'll Have Experience With:
- Strong commercial experience with C# / .NET / ASP.NET Core
- Building and shipping multiple customer-facing AI products into production
- Owning AI products beyond their initial release and continuously improving them
- LLM application development within commercial SaaS products
- AI evaluation, testing, observability and production optimisation
- Modern cloud-native architecture and REST APIs
- Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools
- Strong engineering fundamentals and a product mindset
What We're Really Looking For
- We're not simply looking for someone who's integrated an LLM into an application.
- We're looking for someone who's repeatedly built AI products, learnt from production, iterated based on customer feedback and can clearly explain what worked, what failed and how they'd build it differently today.
- If you've built one successful AI product, then built another even better because of what you learnt from the first, we'd love to speak with you.
What's On Offer
