We’re now looking for a Senior Retention & Lifecycle Marketing Manager to take full ownership of our post-purchase experience, grow customer lifetime value, and reduce churn across our subscription and product ecosystem.
The Role
You’ll lead the strategy and execution of all lifecycle and retention efforts — from onboarding and education flows to cancel flow optimization, upsell/cross-sell campaigns, and loyalty initiatives. Your success will be measured by your ability to increase subscription duration, reduce churn, and boost repeat purchase revenue.
This is a high-impact role with direct influence on company profitability and growth.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Own and scale lifecycle marketing: email/SMS flows across onboarding, post-purchase, retention milestones, winbacks, and reactivations.
- Reduce churn through cancel flow improvements, loyalty-building moments, and smarter segmentation.
- Map and optimize the customer journey, identifying drop-off points and building personalized campaigns that drive engagement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, content, support, and tech to launch new initiatives that drive LTV.
- Continuously A/B test messaging, timing, and offers to improve performance across channels.
- Build systems for retention forecasting and report on key metrics like average subscription length, cohort retention, and LTV.
What Success Looks Like - First 12 Months
- You increase average subscription length by at least 1 month
- First- and second-month churn rates improve measurably
- You generate significant incremental revenue uplift in Year 1 through lifecycle improvements
- You become the internal champion for retention strategy and own key levers of revenue growth
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5+ years of experience in lifecycle or retention marketing, ideally in eCommerce or subscription brands
- Strong knowledge of Klaviyo, Shopify, and experience with Skio or similar subscription billing tools is a strong plus
- Deep understanding of retention metrics, cohort analysis, and customer LTV
- You’re highly organized, data-savvy, and able to turn insight into strategy and execution
- Confident copywriter and strategist — you can write and edit persuasive, trust-building messaging
- Experience building cancel flows, milestone retention offers, or loyalty strategies is a big bonus
