Full-time · Exempt · Remote (US-based, excluding California) · $105K–$120K + monthly profit sharing + Reports directly to the CEO. Help teachers excel in the classroom AND have a life after 3pm.

POSITION OVERVIEW This is a chance to help hundreds of thousands of teachers discover Not So Wimpy Teacher and Lesson Genie, and build the kind of experience that makes them want to stick around. The Growth Marketing Manager owns growth in the fullest sense: sales, retention, and leading the team that carries it out, including running our launches (like the Keep It Simple Summer Series, our annual live webinar/bootcamp event), driving churn-reduction campaigns, and analyzing data to make improvements in real time. The CEO and Founder set the overall vision and big-picture strategy; you'll turn that into a concrete plan and drive it forward. You'll report to our CEO, Beth Hoff, and actively collaborate with our Founder, Jamie Sears, on brand, product, and strategy. You won't be doing this alone: our Facebook ads manager, Lesson Genie membership assistant, and social media content person will all work with you to bring it to life. As we grow, you'll also hire and lead a Marketing Project Manager, targeted for early 2027.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Sales — New Customer Acquisition Getting Not So Wimpy Teacher and Lesson Genie in front of the right teachers, and giving them a reason to say yes: that's the growth engine.

  • Drive online sales execution and channel-level strategy across NSWT and Lesson Genie, within the vision set by the CEO and Founder
  • Plan and run launches, including KISSS (our annual five-day live webinar/bootcamp launch in July)
  • Build funnel strategy: sequencing, offers, and testing across landing pages and email
  • Drive lead generation, working with our Facebook ads manager and social media content person to keep the pipeline full of quality leads
  • Carry one consistent core message everywhere a teacher encounters us: emails, the website, member communication, ads
  • Drive weekly content and email strategy

KPI: Total new members, MRR, and quality lead generation

Retention Every renewal is a second sale. You'll set the strategy and messaging and troubleshoot when something's off; our Lesson Genie membership assistant handles the day-to-day customer service and project management of the membership.

  • Help set retention strategy: keep the members we already have, not only chase new ones - Plan special events (like summer trainings/campaigns) to reduce churn
  • Shape onboarding and carry-over messaging for renewing members
  • Promote the referral program
  • Troubleshoot underperforming retention efforts and course-correct in real time

KPI: Churn

Leadership As we grow, your role in shaping the team grows too.

  • Build and manage a small team to carry out the sales and retention plan. That means real management: clear communication, organized systems, and genuinely developing the people who work with you
  • Hire and onboard future team members as we grow, starting with a Marketing Project Manager (targeted for early 2027)
  • Hold the line on quality, excellence, and timelines across the team's work
  • Take complete ownership over launches — if something breaks down, you solve it and fill the gap yourself

KPI: Successfully hiring and onboarding a Marketing Project Manager by early 2027

Data We want someone who's obsessed with the numbers. Someone who checks the dashboards regularly, not just when something goes wrong, and who makes decisions based on what the data actually says, not a hunch. Give this person a broken funnel, and they won't just tell you it's broken. They'll dig in, figure out why, and fix it.

  • Continue to build and own the reporting system, partnering with our team to expand our AI data dashboards over time
  • Check key metrics regularly and stay ahead of trends, not just react to them
  • Diagnose root causes behind performance shifts, and don't stop until you actually know why
  • Make sales and retention decisions based on what the data says, not gut feel or guesswork
  • Always be optimizing: testing, tweaking, and looking for the next thing to improve

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree (bonus if it's in business, marketing, or a related field)
  • 3–5+ years in online launch and funnel marketing, with a track record in conversion and testing — ideally with live webinars and/or bootcamps, funnels, memberships/subscriptions, or similar
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to build, manage, and develop a small team
  • Strong analytics skills — you go looking for what's actually wrong, not just what the dashboard says
  • Excited and curious about AI, with experience using it beyond search or copywriting (Claude preferred), while carefully evaluating its output
  • Tech-savvy and quick to pick up new tools
  • Strong messaging skills: one consistent core message across the entire business, not just a single funnel
  • Your hours are flexible, but you're reachable and responsive throughout the workday (roughly 9am–5pm Eastern, adjustable based on your time zone) for real-time questions, communication, and problem-solving
  • Familiarity with tools like Monday, Slack, Kit, Google Drive, and WordPress

THIS JOB IS FOR YOU IF YOU:

  • Think in funnels, conversion, and tests, and get energized by watching a number move because of something you changed
  • Genuinely geek out on data — you'd rather dig into a dashboard than guess, and you can diagnose why something isn't converting, not just report that it isn't
  • Have experience running online launches — funnels, live webinars, and/or bootcamps
  • Hold a high bar for brand voice and can steward a consistent message across every touchpoint
  • Work independently, communicate proactively, and take full ownership of outcomes
  • Live and die by results — numbers and deadlines drive you as much as ideas do

THIS JOB IS NOT FOR YOU IF YOU:

  • Want to focus only on high-level strategy without getting into day-to-day execution and data
  • Want to focus solely on writing copy — production copywriting isn't the core of this seat
  • Need someone checking in on you regularly to stay on track, rather than self-directing across strategy, launches, analytics, and email
  • Aren't excited about collaborating across a small, close-knit remote team

SUCCESS METRICS We care most about two numbers:

  1. how many teachers become paying Lesson Genie members (sales)
  2. how many of them stay members (retention)

WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE

  • Your work won't get lost in a big org chart. We're a lean team, so what you build gets seen, used, and felt, by the CEO, the founder, and the teachers we serve.
  • You'll work directly with leadership, not three layers removed from it.
  • No middle-management filter between you and the people setting the vision.
  • We practice what we preach. We built a company to help teachers get their lives back after 3pm, so we protect our own time too. Burnout isn't something we reward here.
  • When the company wins, you win. Every month, a profit-sharing bonus lands in your bank account. Better results for NSWT means a better paycheck for you.
  • You'll be selling something you can feel good about. Every campaign you run helps a teacher get her evenings back. And our teachers are constantly telling us how much they love it.
  • You'll help hire and lead your own team as we grow, shaping how marketing works here for years to come.
  • We get together in person, too. Fully remote doesn't mean isolated: the team meets for an annual retreat, plus regular calls and check-ins so you're never on an island by yourself.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Salary: $105,000–$120,000 base salary, dependent on experience, plus a monthly profit-sharing bonus.
  • Fully remote, with a flexible work schedule
  • Monthly profit sharing. Over the past 12 months, this added up to $10,000 for each full-time team member. For 2027, we're projecting $12,500 or more.
  • 2 weeks of paid time off, yours to use as you choose
  • 10 paid national holidays
  • A 2-week paid break over Christmas/New Year's
  • A paid day off for your birthday
  • Paid maternity and paternity leave
  • Annual team retreat (Arizona or destination)
