Not Knowing Corporation is a California based game studio. We have one released game on Steam in early access: Cleared Hot https://store.steampowered.com/app/1710820/Cleared_Hot/

Cleared Hot is a nostalgic helicopter shooter, reminiscent of 90s era helicopter games, especially Desert Strike, Jungle Strike, etc.

The game has 4,000+ reviews on Steam with an overwhelming positive review score.

We're a small team and I'm looking for an experienced Unity Developer to help us reach 1.0. It is a part time contract, about 15-30 hours per week, starting February 2027. Remote.

You will be helping with

  • Bug fixing, working with our QA partner
  • Managing builds, build server, and Steam submissions
  • Our localization pipeline
  • Mod support- partially completed.
  • Level editor - partially completed
  • Exploring new features
  • Performance analysis
  • Optionally assisting our publisher on console porting (they will be doing it, but we will be supporting them)

You Should Have:

  • Worked on one shipped game in Unity, preferably more than one.
  • Good experience with C# and maintaining larger codebases
  • Made full games on your own for fun
  • Clear written communication
  • Experience with an AI codegen tool

Nice To Have:

  • Contract experience
  • Console porting experience (not needed)

You will fit in if you like learning new things, and you're comfortable with experimenting on things without knowing "the right answer". This includes being curious to learn and work with AI coding tools such as Claude or Codex.

We have a great team, and a great game. For the right person, this should be an incredible opportunity.
