Who We Need

Nomis Solutions is seeking an exceptional Production-Ready Data

Scientist to build and deploy best-in-class analytical models for our clients. You are curious, collaborative, structured, detail oriented and a good team player. You are passionate about big data analytics and statistical models, and have experience developing models that perform reliably in production environments. You know the math and you can translate complex analytical results into business insights, while ensuring your models are robust, reproducible, and maintainable throughout their lifecycle. You can zoom out to understand the big picture and zoom in to any level of detail. You are meticulous, clear in your approach and analysis, and possess the ability to critique your work so you can better explain it to others. You have the drive to make processes more efficient, take ownership of the complete model journey from development to production, and are accountable for model performance over time.

What's in it for you?

Career growth. Influence. Exposure. You are seeking an opportunity to work with some of the largest Financial Institutions in North America and APAC. You want to join a fast-growing, nimble company with vision and depth; a place where your passion for data, technology, and relationships are invaluable assets. You want to have your voice heard, your advice applied, your ideas implemented and your innovative problem-solving recognized.

Chance to make your mark. This is an opportunity to build analytical models that are used to price billions of dollars of Loan and Deposit applications each month, work alongside leadership, chart your own path and be recognized for your efforts. You will have the opportunity to make a broad and deep impact positioning our products to further our growth across the financial services industry.

Win as a team. In this role, you will be part of a highly collaborative group that challenges the status quo every day and will leverage the latest technology to improve how financial institutions do business.

What you will do

Develop and deploy predictive models. You will develop predictive models to forecast consumer demand for various financial services products which are used as part of our software to price billions of dollars every month. You will take ownership of the complete model lifecycle, from initial development through production deployment and ongoing maintenance. You will ensure health of statistical models through a regimented model validation process and confirm models delivered through the Nomis platform are performant and applicable through strong Internal Model Risk Management. You will work with client Model Risk Management through the model acceptance process.

Build production-ready solutions. You will develop models with production deployment in mind, ensuring code quality, documentation, and reproducibility. You will monitor model performance in live environments, troubleshoot issues, and implement updates as needed. You will collaborate with technical stakeholders to ensure smooth model deployment and maintain model versioning and documentation standards.

Earn trust. You will foster trusted working relationships internally and with our clients, understand their objectives and challenges and build reliable, maintainable models to solve them. You will translate unstructured business problems into actionable analyses for non-technical teams. You will package findings into market facing communications that showcase our value and entice prospects to purchase Nomis offerings.

Be a subject matter expert. You will develop your knowledge of our solutions and the banking industry. You will research, design, and prototype new analytical product offerings for our customers. You will build the necessary tools to develop high-quality, production-ready models and demonstrate a strong understanding of banking structures and model risk management expectations.
