Role Overview
As an Athlete Marketing Manager, you will own brand client relationships and be responsible for end-to-end campaign execution—delivering results that align with scoped goals. This role is ideal for someone who has 3–5 years of experience in account management, influencer marketing, or brand marketing, experience working with athletes and creators and thrives at the intersection of creativity, operations, and client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Management: Serve as the day-to-day contact for brand clients, managing timelines, budgets, deliverables, and performance expectations.
- Campaign Execution: Recruit, activate and manage influencer (primarily athlete) partnerships—from creating campaign briefs, negotiation, and contracting to content delivery, approvals, and posting support.
- Media Strategy: Recommend and oversee media spend on social, digital, and traditional platforms to amplify campaign reach and performance.
- Event Sponsorships: Support the planning, execution, and measurement of brand sponsorships at live events, with a focus on on-site visibility and content capture.
- Performance & Reporting: Track KPIs, analyze campaign performance, and deliver reporting that demonstrates ROI, insights, and optimization opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with creative, legal, talent, and paid media teams to ensure campaigns are seamless and compliant.
- Talent Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with athletes, agents, and videographers, ensuring clear communication, smooth execution, and professional representation on behalf of our brand partners.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in account management, influencer marketing, or brand marketing.
- Proven ability to lead and scale campaigns from concept through execution, preferably with direct talent/influencer involvement.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok, X) and emerging media channels.
- Experience managing paid media campaigns—including ad setup, audience targeting, budgeting, and reporting.
- Familiarity with event sponsorships, experiential marketing, or event production is a strong plus.
- Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to turn analytics into actionable insights.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, start-up or agency environment is preferred.
- Passion for sports, pop culture, or working with creators/athletes is a major plus, former college or pro athletes encouraged to apply.
