About the Role

Mind Supernova is looking for 2 Senior Golang Engineers to work on a large-scale telecommunications platform transformation in Australia.

This is a software engineering role with a strong networking focus. You will build modern backend services and distributed systems that operate between OSS platforms and network infrastructure.

The role is ideal for software engineers who are strong in Golang, distributed systems, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies, with experience or strong interest in networking and telecommunications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop production-grade backend services using Golang.
• Build distributed and event-driven systems for network service automation.
• Develop services that connect OSS platforms with network infrastructure.
• Build APIs and integrations for network provisioning and service orchestration.
• Work with DNS, DHCP, TACACS, RADIUS, and IAM integrations.
• Integrate with network platforms such as Cisco IOS-XR.
• Build and deploy containerised services using Kubernetes and Helm.
• Develop and maintain REST/OpenAPI APIs.
• Implement observability using OpenTelemetry, metrics, logging, and distributed tracing.
• Work with PostgreSQL and other backend data stores.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.

Technical RequirementsMust Have

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Golang.
• Good understanding of the Go toolchain, testing, debugging, profiling, modules, and dependency management.
• Experience building backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerised applications.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Experience with REST APIs and OpenAPI.
• Good understanding of event-driven / asynchronous architectures.
• Experience with modern observability practices; OpenTelemetry is a strong plus.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, especially DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
• Comfortable working across the boundary between software and network infrastructure.

OPTIONAL Experience

• Experience with Cisco IOS-XR.
• Experience with TACACS, RADIUS, or IAM.
• Experience in ISP / Telecommunications / OSS / BSS environments.
• Experience with network automation or service orchestration.
• Experience with Helm and Kubernetes-based platforms.
• Experience with message brokers or event-streaming platforms.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, BNG, broadband provisioning, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Australian NBN or large-scale telecommunications projects.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a Senior Golang Engineer with networking knowledge.

You should be strong in software engineering and comfortable building Golang-based distributed systems, Kubernetes-based services, APIs, and event-driven applications.

Experience in telecommunications, ISP, OSS/BSS, network automation, or network infrastructure is highly valuable.

Software engineering is the primary focus. Networking is the domain.
