Senior Java Software Engineer

Position: Senior Java Software Engineer (Full-Stack Technical Versatility)

Job Description

• Seasoned Java Expertise: 7+ years' hands-on experience architecting and developing robust solutions using Java 8+/11 (with exposure to Java 17/21 being advantageous), Spring Boot, and microservices. Demonstrated proficiency in Apache Spark for distributed data processing and analytics at scale.
• Cloud-Native & Data Engineering Mastery: Extensive experience designing and deploying applications on cloud platforms (OpenShift/Azure) using Kubernetes and Docker. Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgresSQL, Spring Data/Hibernate), streaming platforms (Apache Kafka), and data pipeline optimization for high-throughput systems.
• Full-Stack Technical Versatility: Strong back-end development skills complemented by front-end awareness (Angular). Expertise in writing comprehensive unit and integration tests (JUnit, Jasmine/Karma) and implementing software best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Capital Markets Domain Knowledge: Prior involvement with trading reference data management that demonstrates your ability to navigate the unique challenges of financial technology environments.
• Technical Leadership & Agile Delivery: A proven track record of leading development initiatives in agile environments (SCRUM/SAFe). Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a focus on delivering high-quality, resilient systems. Natural aptitude for mentoring junior engineers and fostering collaborative team dynamics.
