About the Role

As a C++ software engineer at NinjaOne, you will be maintaining features, diagnosing and identifying source code fixes within our Ninja Remote and Quick Connect feature suite. Use your C++ experience and software operating experience to diagnose, document and identify source code fixes, acting as a bridge between Customer Support and Senior Developers.

Working within our product development teams, you will work on new features across product lines that are critical for our customers, our product managers and our sales team. Working with code that is not functioning as expected, providing fixes as well as contributing to new features and integrations needed for the product's overall success.

We hire the best software engineers with experience in our stack: NinjaOne is built on Java, Kotlin, C++, and Postgres, supporting millions of user endpoints and running as a scalable cloud service in AWS. Knowing large-scale datastore bottlenecks, asynchronous application design and client-server architecture will help you.

Location - We are flexible on remote working from home if you are in Germany. We have an office in Berlin and would love it if you are interested in a Hybrid environment working closely onsite with our team.

What You’ll be Doing

• Diagnose and document customer support issues:
• Working with QA Engineers to reproduce customer support issues within

our development and QA environments

• Diagnose customer support issues, capture Jira bug tickets with supporting

documentation, logs and traces

• With read access to source code repositories, identify recommended code fixes
• Work with Senior Developers to test and fix bugs and regression issues.
• Maintain and improve current applications.
• Initial focus on building and supporting our embedded applications for deployment in Windows, MacOS and Linux.
• Analyze product for a client focused satisfaction of usability.
• Design and code new software IT operations products.
• Other duties as needed.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information
• Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 2 to 5 years of C++ or C development experience.
• Experience with C++ Qt framework, including Qt Widgets and QML for cross-

platform desktop/mobile development.

• Working with low-level APIs on two major operating systems; Win (Windows XP-

Windows 10), Mac (Mac OSX (Cocoa, etc.) and Linux.

• Previous experience with either Visual Studio, XCode, QtCreator.
• Version control with Git, code review practices.
• Working knowledge of a breadth of OOP design principles.

What Would Make You Stand Out

• Experience with JSON, JavaScript, Java
• Knowledge and experience working with AWS or similar cloud service.
• Experience using SQL, Postgres, MSSQL or a similar technology.
• Experience with networking and/or real-time voice and video data
• transmission applications
• Previous experience with either Valgrind, gdb, CMAKE
