About Our Client

Our client is on a mission to simplify how developers interact with government services. Their goal is to make the exchange of electronic documents—such as e-invoices—fast, secure, and developer-friendly through powerful API solutions.

Location: Remote (Europe-based)

Contract Type: Full-time (B2B)

Language Requirements: German (native or fluent), English (B2 level or higher)

Your Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the development and deployment of core products for the German market, ensuring they are scalable, compliant, and easy to integrate.

You will:

• Architect, build, and document backend components and APIs.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and maintainability of the systems.
• Collaborate directly with customers to support smooth and successful integrations.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a junior/mid-level developer.

What Our Client Is Looking For

• Strong experience in developing web applications and backend services.
• Hands-on experience with scalable API projects.
• Solid understanding of cloud-based architectures and cloud development.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English (B2+).
• Experience working directly with clients or stakeholders.
• Familiarity with fiscal compliance, e-invoicing standards, or government APIs is a strong plus.

Preferred Tech Stack

While diverse technical backgrounds are welcome, the following experience is especially valued:

• PHP (preferably with Symfony)
• Python
• AWS or similar cloud platforms
