Senior Database Security Engineer required to help our customers with the implementation and run and maintain of their Oracle MSS Database Security Services.

In this role, you will operate at the intersection of cloud security, database architecture, and customer success, partnering closely with OCI engineering and field teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cloud-native solutions.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the design and delivery of cloud-native database security solutions leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

· Drive end-to-end solution ownership, from architecture through deployment and ongoing operations

· Partner with OCI engineering teams to influence product direction based on real-world customer requirements

· Translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions

· Act as a subject matter expert in database security across customer engagements and internal initiatives

· Support strategic customer engagements, including pre-sales architecture, solution positioning, and technical advisory

· Continuously improve existing security offerings, identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and innovation

· Advocate for security best practices aligned with industry standards (NIST, ISO, PCI, etc.)

· Operate within a DevSecOps model, enabling secure adoption of cloud database technologies

· Stay at the forefront of cloud and database security trends, ensuring Oracle solutions remain competitive and forward-looking

Required Qualifications

· 6+ years of experience in database security, cloud security, or related fields

· Strong expertise in Oracle Database security technologies, including two or more of the following:

• o Database Vault
• o Audit Vault & Database Firewall
• o SQL Firewall
• o Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
• o Data Safe
• o Data Masking
• o Oracle Key Vault
• o Database Auditing
• o DBSAT

· Hands-on experience designing and securing solutions in OCI (preferred) or AWS, Azure, GCP

· Strong understanding of security architecture, encryption, and network security principles

· Experience supporting cloud migrations with a focus on security

· Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language:

• o Python, PL/SQL, or APEX

· Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Oracle AI Database 26ai and OCI AI capabilities

· Familiarity with security frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, FedRAMP

· Experience with containerized and distributed systems (Kubernetes, Kafka, microservices)

· Background in automation and DevOps/DevSecOps practices

· Security certifications such as CISSP, CCSK, GIAC, or CISA

· Experience across multiple cloud providers (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP)
