We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Web Designer to join nextmedia’s team. This position will play a key role in ensuring our email advertising campaigns are delivered on schedule for our valued clients, as well as designing and maintaining front-end functionality and elements on our websites. You will work collaboratively with a small development team and coordinate with multiple departments across nextmedia.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver email marketing campaigns, including special offers, competitions, and surveys.
Develop and maintain front-end website functionality and design using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Test new features across different browsers and mobile devices to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on web design and campaign delivery.
Work with the sales, production, and digital teams to organise content and deliver effective campaigns.
Manage and update website content via Content Management Systems (CMS).
Create user-friendly documentation for end users.

The ideal candidate

4-5 years of experience as a web designer with a focus on email marketing.
Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Skilled in using Photoshop for design tasks.
Familiarity with Content Management Systems.
Strong understanding of user experience (UX) and web standards.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
High-level communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Other highly regarded skills

Experience with email delivery platforms such as Campaign Monitor or HubSpot.
Familiarity with .NET/PHP environments (e.g., WordPress).
Knowledge of Google platforms such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
Experience with job ticketing systems like Jira.
Understanding of source control systems such as Subversion.
