Job Description:

Graphic designer and manual writer to join growing product development team creating new consumer goods (home comfort and convenience products) that are smart-enabled and operated via mobile smart apps.

Duties/Roles:

• Creating user manuals and installation manuals for products:
• Assembly steps including illustrations
• Safety warnings
• Use and care steps
• Work closely with product engineering to create copy and images that are clear, intuitive and technically accurate
• Work closely with overseas suppliers and test labs to ensure that warnings comply with safety codes requirements
• Assist art director on product packaging graphic design
• Create labels/decals to be applied to the product
• Model/serial labels
• Warning labels
• Proof and approve final printed articles for manuals, decals and packaging

Skills and Competencies:

• Experience designing manuals, decals and packaging
• Proficient with graphic design software
• Ability to proof own work with high attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to create own 3D illustrations of products
• Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling a big plus!
• Mechanical aptitude (ability to assemble and hang a ceiling fan, for example) a plus!
• Excellent communication and ability to mesh well with multi-national team
