Full Stack Developer

One of our federal clients is seeking Full Stack Software Engineer (Developer) to join the team. Due to the nature of work involved, this position is open for only Australian Citizen, preferably with AGSVA security clearances and previous experience with federal departments.

Role Description:

Contract Role 12months + 24months

Location of Work QLD, WA, ACT, VIC, NSW, NT, SA, TAS

Work Arrangement is hybrid (this is not a fully remote role)

Software Engineers have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse very complex ICT business issues, applying expertise to identify and recommend design solutions.
• ​Create new and update existing design artefacts with proposed changes.
• ​Create new, and update existing C# .Net, REST API, Oracle11g/12c/PL-SQL, Java Script and VB6 applications to assist operational activity.
• ​Implement proposed changes including liaising with testing, release management and operations teams.
• ​Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify their needs, reach agreement on the business objectives and gain commitment to achieving results.
• ​Work effectively in an agile team environment.
• ​Provide knowledge/skills transfer to other teams.

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to analyse complex ICT business issues, apply technical expertise, and recommend fit-for-purpose design solutions, including the development and maintenance of applications in C# .NET, REST APIs, Oracle 11g/12c PL/SQL, JavaScript, and VB6.
• Demonstrated experience in preparing and updating design artefacts, implementing proposed changes, and working effectively with testing, release management, and operations teams within an agile environment.
• Well-developed skills in engaging and collaborating with stakeholders to clarify business needs, align objectives, and support outcomes, with prior federal government ICT project experience highly regarded.
