Sap cloud engineer

Position Description Summary

As member of a global SAP Platform Services team, the SAP Cloud Engineer is responsible for Implement and support SAP BTP - Business Technology Platform (SaaS, PaaS) solutions and SAP SaaS systems following ExxonMobil change management and security and control standards.

Works as member of a local Agile team, with a Product Owner, Scrum Master, Solution Architect and Dev Team members.

Makes sure that our processes are documented and kept evergreen.

Identify process gaps and propose solutions.

Detailed Description And Tasks Performed

This role includes, but is not limited to the following:

SAP BTP and other major cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS hands-on experience (3y+)

Perform System Administration Activities For SAP BTP PaaS Solution

Evaluate, design, and implement new SAP BTP solutions

Provide regular system maintenance services

Plan and execute system upgrades and enhancements

Perform capacity and performance Monitoring including health checks for SAP cloud components

Review SAP BTP updates and adjust accordingly

Configure and maintain connectivity to S/4 HANA and other cloud systems

Configure and maintain SAP Cloud Connectors

Configure and maintain SAP Cloud Identity Services (IDS, IAS, IPS)

Maintain system integrity/availability and controls for SAP cloud instances within ExxonMobil

Provide system stakeholder reports and metrics with key performance indicators

Remediate vulnerability gaps for SAP cloud components

Provide Problem Management and root cause analysis for incidents

Analyze technical requirements for projects/upgrades

Build and configure SAP BTP subaccounts according to standard practices, design, and guidelines

Coordinate technical execution of large cross-functional activities that require synchronicity and alignment

Produce/update reference documentation (guidelines, How Tos)

Design/Build/Execute Proof of Concepts for new SAP BTP functionalities

Participate and contribute to technical workshops

Familiar with Windows Server environment

On-call activity flexibility

Required Technical Skills

SAP BTP and its various services (e.g. Build Work Zone, Cloud Transport Management, Mobile Services, Cloud Integration, etc.)

SAP Cloud Products (e.g. SAP Analytics Cloud, SuccessFactors, Cloud Application Lifecycle Management, etc.)

Modern authentication (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML)

SAP Cloud Connector with knowledge of Principal Propagation, SAP Cloud Identity Services (IDS, IAS, IPS)

IaaC and scripting, prior programming experience/training

Modern cloud architecture

Basic knowledge of S/4 HANA and ECC6
