About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist with a focus on AI, machine learning, and data engineering to join Oracle’s dynamic team. This role involves designing and deploying advanced data solutions that support Oracle’s global supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing scalable AI and automation models, creating real-time analytics and operational dashboards, and collaborating across multiple departments to drive data-driven decision-making. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 7-10+ years of experience in data science, data engineering, automation, or related fields, with a proven track record of delivering complex technical solutions. A strong educational background is essential, with a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related disciplines. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in SQL and Python, experience with cloud-based data platforms, and familiarity with AI/ML techniques. Experience supporting supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, or procurement functions is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are vital for success in this role.

Responsibilities

Data Automation & AI Solutions

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data automation solutions supporting Oracle’s global supply chain operations.
• Develop AI and machine learning models to enhance forecasting accuracy, inventory management, supply planning, logistics, and manufacturing readiness.
• Identify opportunities for automation and predictive analytics to streamline manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Create reusable automation frameworks and data products that support business scalability.
• Evaluate emerging AI and automation technologies, providing strategic recommendations for implementation across supply chain functions.

Data Engineering & Analytics

• Design and develop robust data pipelines, models, and architectures to support real-time reporting and advanced analytics.
• Build scalable datasets for forecasting, planning, inventory management, and supplier performance analysis.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and accessibility across enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and self-service analytics tools to enhance operational visibility.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data seamlessly across Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications and other operational systems.

Operational Intelligence

• Create operational dashboards, KPIs, and control tower capabilities to provide comprehensive visibility into supply chain performance.
• Develop intelligent alerting mechanisms to proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and operational exceptions.
• Build predictive models to support scenario planning, capacity management, and supplier performance evaluation.
• Translate complex operational data into actionable insights for day-to-day management and strategic planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with teams across supply planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and capacity management to understand business challenges and develop scalable technical solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define analytics requirements and deliver impactful data solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise for automation initiatives and enterprise data projects.
• Promote best practices in data engineering, analytics, and automation organization-wide.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive ongoing enhancements in data quality, automation, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce technical debt, and improve the maintainability of data platforms.
• Document technical designs, data models, and automation solutions to support scalability and operational excellence.
• Stay current with emerging technologies in AI, machine learning, cloud computing, and data engineering, integrating new knowledge into projects.
