About The Role

We are seeking an experienced iOS Developer to join Comcast’s Connected Living Camera Client Engineering team within the Technology and Product Experience (TPX) division. This pivotal role involves developing customer-facing mobile applications for Comcast’s Home Security Camera products, including the native iOS app that manages cloud-enabled Internet Gateways for millions of homes. As part of this team, you will contribute to expanding the app’s capabilities, integrating new features such as bill pay, and ensuring a seamless user experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building innovative mobile solutions, working with real-time video streaming technologies, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality mobile applications. Currently, the team is operating remotely with plans to adopt a flexible hybrid model, and the role is open to fully remote or virtual candidates based in the United States.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a strong background in mobile application development, particularly within the iOS ecosystem. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred, although extensive professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. Candidates should have a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience, demonstrating proficiency in Swift and Objective-C, with a solid understanding of iOS frameworks and best practices. Experience with video streaming, real-time media processing, and cloud integrations is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications for Comcast’s connected living products, focusing on camera and video experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, backend developers, and device engineers to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Participate in architectural discussions, technical reviews, and contribute to defining best practices for mobile development.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Swift, adhering to modern iOS development standards.
• Implement features related to video playback, real-time streaming, and device interactions, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues promptly to maintain app stability and reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in mobile technology, incorporating innovative solutions into the development process.
• Support continuous integration and deployment processes, participate in code reviews, and foster a culture of quality and improvement.
