Job Title: Software Engineer (GCP Full Stack Engineer)

Description:
Strong full stack engineer with deep Google Cloud experience
Specifically, we’re looking for people who:
- Can design, build, and deploy full stack applications on GCP
- Have hands on experience with BigQuery (analytics, data modeling, performance)
- Are familiar with VertexAI (model deployment, pipelines, integrations)
- This is not a general “cloud” role - we need people who can own full stack delivery on GCP and are comfortable operating as GCP experts end to end (infra, CI/CD, app + data layers)
Responsibilities:
- Support of quality services based on core supported technologies and the deployment of new quality services based on customer needs
- Responsible for directing individuals in testing, designing, planning, piloting, integrating, monitoring, problem determination and resolution for said services
- Set priorities and ensure that projects are delivered according to schedule and budget
- Overall accountability for 24/7 on call Level 3 incident management and problem management support responsibilities
- Validate and ensure appropriate usage of organizational policies, procedures, standards, and methods
- Re-prioritize as necessary and ensure resolution to escalated incidents based on SLA
- Maintain awareness of technology strategy and recommend enhancements and upgrades
- Execute plans to enhance and upgrade supported technologies
- Ensure operational designs for changes or new services meet adopted standards
- Consult with personnel in other disciplines to coordinate activities
- Manage upgrading of procedures and hardware/software to maintain currency
- Operate according to approved budgetary guidelines and develop departmental annual budget
- Oversee testing, operational design, piloting, documentation, monitoring, and implementation planning
- Make recommendations and plan enhancements for services in production
- Maintain awareness of firm architecture and strategy
- Provide operational engineering input into R&D and proof of concept efforts
- Follow ITIL processes established within the organization
- Oversee resolution of Level 3 incidents and analyze trends
- Oversee problem control and error control activities
- Provide feedback to vendors including support and enhancement requests
- Conduct joint reviews with support staff on incidents, trends, and system health
- Responsible for career development and performance management
- Manage training and development of staff
- Supervise staff in development, implementation, and support of technologies
- Prioritize and assign work as necessary
- Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience
- Advanced degree in Computer Science preferred
