About Netop
Netop builds secure remote access solutions trusted by organizations in retail, finance, healthcare, industrial operations, and critical infrastructure. With a security-first architecture and strong alignment to Zero Trust principles, our systems run across cloud and on-prem environments and must meet high standards of reliability, compliance, and operational safety.
We operate a modern cloud SaaS platform (Netop Portal) and a mature on-premise product line (Netop Remote Control). Our infrastructure spans AWS, a few outgoing VMware ESXi systems, Entra ID, internal VPNs, and multi-environment deployments. Quality, stability, and automation are core to everything we do.
Job Information
- Team: On-Premise Engineering
- Level: L3 – Owning (Entry-level L3 with 6-month growth trajectory)
- Reports to:
- Location: Romania, Remote Friendly
- Type: Full-time
Your Role
We’re hiring a Software Engineer (L3) to own and deliver components within the Netop Remote Control stack — a cross-platform suite composed of the Host, Guest, Gateway/Relay, and various helper services. This is a mature, complex system with deep OS integrations, custom networking protocols, and decades of engineering refinement.
You’ll work across native C++ codebases for Windows, Linux, and macOS, taking ownership of features and modules throughout the development lifecycle. This is an entry-level, L3 position — you’ll start by owning well-defined components and progressively take on more complex subsystems, security hardening initiatives, and architectural contributions over your first 6 months.
We don’t care about “years of experience” — we care about strong C++ fundamentals, systems thinking, and the ability to reason methodically about complex, multi-platform code.
Soft Skills
- Enjoys solving deep technical problems involving systems, networks, security, and OS internals
- Ability to research unfamiliar areas thoroughly and evaluate technical solutions
- Strong interest in learning the mechanics of a mature, complex codebase
- Ability to understand detailed product and technical specifications
- Clear communication and collaborative mindset
- Self-driven, disciplined, capable of managing tasks independently
- High respect for maintainability, secure coding, and code quality standards
