Senior Python Backend & Data Engineer – AI / Multi-Agent Systems

About the Role

We are looking for experienced Senior Python Backend and Data Engineer to join a long-term international project focused on developing advanced AI applications and multi-agent workflows.

You will work as part of the client’s engineering organization and collaborate directly with their technical team on the design and development of production-grade AI and backend systems.

This is a hands-on senior engineering position. We are specifically looking for strong backend or data engineers rather than frontend/web developers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain production-grade applications using Python
• Build backend services, APIs and system integrations
• Develop and integrate AI/LLM-based applications and agentic workflows
• Work with multi-agent architectures, including ReAct/loop-based workflows
• Build solutions using LangChain, LangGraph and related technologies
• Design and maintain data processing workflows and pipelines
• Integrate LLMs, external APIs, databases and other tools into AI-driven applications
• Deploy and operate applications in GCP and/or AWS
• Collaborate directly with senior engineers, architects and other members of the client’s technical team
• Participate in architecture and technical design decisions
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested production code

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience
• Excellent knowledge of Python
• Strong background in backend engineering and/or data engineering
• Proven experience developing production applications
• Experience with APIs, microservices, databases and distributed systems
• Experience with GCP and/or AWS
• Ability to design and implement complex systems independently
• Strong problem-solving and software architecture skills
• Professional working proficiency in English

• AI agents and multi-agent systems
• ReAct and agent-loop architectures
• Tool calling and agent orchestration
• RAG architectures
• Vector databases
• Production deployment of AI/LLM applications
