As a Machine Learning Engineer – Field Specialist, you will play a key role in enabling Data Scientists and ML Engineers to leverage our global, cloud-native data platform efficiently. You will test, document, and scale ML techniques across teams, ensuring high-quality, production-ready AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a technical expert, guiding Data Scientists and ML Engineers on best practices, architecture, and ML model deployment.
- Design reference architectures, how-to guides, and demo applications to help teams implement scalable ML solutions.
- Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to evaluate new technologies and assess their business impact.
- Support teams in MLOps best practices, including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle automation.
- Implement model performance monitoring, ensuring real-time tracking of data drift, accuracy, and scalability.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to optimize data pipelines for ML model training and inference.
- Ensure ML solutions meet security, compliance, and responsible AI standards.
- Apply A/B testing and experimentation to validate and improve model effectiveness.
- Work closely with Architects and Platform Engineers to integrate new ML capabilities into the global data platform.
What You Need to Succeed
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Spark, with experience in ML libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, Pandas, MLFlow).
- Experience with MLOps, including CI/CD pipelines for ML, monitoring, and model retraining.
- Knowledge of data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Understanding of cloud-based ML platforms (Databricks ML, AWS SageMaker, Azure ML, or Google Vertex AI).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for ML deployment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate business problems into ML solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Deep understanding of modern data architectures: Lakehouse, Kappa, Lambda, Data Warehousing.
- Experience in model performance optimization and A/B testing.
- Hands-on expertise in object-oriented programming (OOP) with Python.
- Prior experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives.
