About the Role

We’re looking for a collaborative Backend Software Engineer who holds themselves to a high standard of quality in the code they deliver. This role involves gaining an understanding of various key infrastructure and services we use to power our game. You will be working on a rapidly-growing application where focus on scaling to millions of users is critical. You’ll interpret technical documentation and designs, transforming them into functional, deliverable features.

Our team is distributed across the U.S., Central America, and South America, so strong written and verbal communication skills —particularly over messaging platforms and video conferencing are critical.

You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and DevOps teams to make key architectural decisions, ensuring a seamless and reliable experience for players. From designing efficient APIs to delivering stable live operations, your work will directly shape a vibrant gaming experience that fuses technology, fashion, and fun.

What you will be doing:

• Develop core services that power the game using best practices to ensure performance, scalability,
• and security.
• Peer review teammates’ code to maintain quality and uniformity across the codebase.
• Create and execute unit, functional, and load tests on developed code.
• Write clear documentation and testing notes for QA teams to validate your work.
• Collaborate with backend and DevOps engineers to make architectural decisions for the platform.
• Support server releases and address live operations issues to maintain a bug-free player
• experience.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including kickoffs, standups, retrospectives, and planning.

What you need to have:

• Experience working in a modern programming language (DotNet, C#, Python, NodeJs, etc.)
• Development and support of products with hundreds of thousands of Daily
• Active Users built on services in the cloud (Azure)
• Work with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc)
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB, etc)
• Work with Agile development practices
• Played a key engineering role on a large-scale game or product.
