Overview
Join GitHub’s Developer Relations team to help make software development more joyful, inclusive, and impactful for developers around the world. Whether someone is just starting their coding journey, contributing to open source, building a startup, or shipping at scale in an enterprise, our job is to show up for them with care, clarity, and creativity.
We’re looking for a Senior Developer Advocate to join our globally distributed, high-trust team. In this role, you’ll serve as a bridge between the developer community and GitHub’s product, engineering, and marketing teams, elevating community insights into action and helping developers do their best work with GitHub. You’ll also play a key role in building trust, growing the ecosystem, and amplifying developer voices both inside and outside of GitHub.

7+ years experience in community/audience engagement, information technology (IT), software development, or other related work experiences
OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in community/audience engagement, information technology (IT), or software development, or other related work experiences

Compensation Range
The base salary range for this job is USD $96,400.00 - USD $255,700.00 /Yr.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
