The Role: Visual Storyteller

As our Visual Storyteller, you will be the core driver of our brand's aesthetic, applying formal artistic principles and a deep understanding of international pop culture to all digital touchpoints. We expect an absolute attention to detail that elevates every graphic, illustration, and motion piece.

This role is for an Art College graduate who has mastered the digital domain and maintains a keen finger on the pulse of global trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Illustration & Design: Create compelling, hand-crafted illustrations, graphics, and social media visuals. Demonstrate fluency in both traditional sketching and expert-level professional digital illustration.

• Cultural Fluency: Apply a comprehensive, layered knowledge of art movements, international pop culture, and meme culture to inform visual strategy and create content that is timely, relevant, and sophisticated.

• Editorial Vision: Produce sophisticated multimedia content (videos, GIFs, carousels) that meets the high aesthetic and compositional standards of top-tier editorial work (e.g., Vogue/Condé Nast).

• Art Historical Depth: Ensure every design choice is deliberate and informed by history, referencing masters from Chagall and Cézanne to visual storytellers like Alfred Hitchcock and Tim Burton.

• Digital Mastery: Flawlessly execute final creative assets across all platforms, demonstrating absolute proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).

Non-Negotiable Core Requirements

We are exclusively seeking candidates who possess a deep, demonstrable, multi-layered background in the arts and the work ethic that accompanies formal training.

• Formal Art Education: A degree or equivalent professional training from an accredited Art College or University in Fine Art, Graphic Design, or Illustration is mandatory.

• Professional Experience Benchmark: A minimum of three years of full-time professional experience applying formal design/illustration principles after graduation from Art College/University.

• Art & Cultural Literacy: You must demonstrate an intimate knowledge of art and design history—from Leonardo and Raphael to modern icons like Rankin and Warhol. You can articulate the difference between Monet, Manet, and Seurat and possess sound knowledge of contemporary art movements and meme dynamics.

• Technical Skill in Illustration: Must demonstrate a mastery of line weight, form, composition, and perspective that is clearly informed by classical training, translating effortlessly into the digital medium.

• Digital Execution: Expert-level proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite , Capcut and Figma is essential. Competency in Canva is expected, but your primary expertise must be in professional-grade design software.

• Foundational Knowledge: Solid, applied knowledge of Composition, Colour Theory, and Typography.

• Professional Work Ethic: Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining Rodin-level attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Exclusionary Note (Please Read Carefully)

We are not seeking candidates whose primary expertise is in: SEO, funnel management, general marketing, or template-driven design. This role is pure, high-level visual artistry and illustration. Your portfolio must showcase work that could not have been produced in Canva alone.

Minimum Infrastructure Requirements (Remote Role)

• Reliable internet (Minimum 30 Mbps).
• Computer: Windows 10 or above with 8 GB RAM minimum/ or a Mac with a minimum of 16GB of RAM  and a 512GB SSD

What We Offer

• Starting Salary: $350–$500 USD per month (based on experience).
• Please note this salary carefully before applying. Adjustments will be considered only after a minimum of 3 months, based on performance review.
