Who We Are
Murmuration is a nonprofit organization that amplifies the power of civic engagement by providing data, digital tools, and research-driven insights to community-focused organizations so that together we can create an America where everyone can lead healthy, free, and dignified lives.
Every day, people are trying to shape our future for the better. Fighting for water that's safe to drink. Schools that serve students equitably. Gun laws that make sense. And rallying people who care like we do. And yet too often the skillful organizers working to mobilize communities lack access to technology that could supercharge their efforts. Knocking on every door instead of knowing which will open most easily. And going up against outside interests that have half the heart, but twice the tools.
In communities across America, Murmuration's partners are leveraging our data, tools, and insights to help thousands of organizers orchestrate millions of individual people to do big things together. Demand big things together. To create the world they want. Together.
About The Position
We're looking for a Director of Marketing to lead our marketing and communications efforts and help us tell the story of how our products and research fuel impact across the civic engagement space. In this role, you will be a member of the External Affairs Team, which is responsible for fundraising, marketing, communications, and executive communications efforts. You will work closely with product, partnerships, and research teams to shape brand and product strategies, and you'll lead a small but mighty team to bring those strategies to life across channels. You'll be hands-on with product communications, marketing campaigns, research distribution, brand management, and more.
If you're a creative, strategic marketing leader with experience working across product, brand, and communications — and you're excited about using your skills to support organizations working to build stronger, more engaged communities — we'd love to hear from you.

We believe in the power of data to inform decisions, to build deep understanding over time, and to drive actions that put our partners, and the sector as a whole, in the greatest position to succeed — cycle over cycle, year over year.
Civic engagement is a critical lever for breaking the cycle of generational poverty, the scourge of systemic racism, and ultimately achieving the level of equity that we want to see in this country.
