About The Role
The Performance Marketing Manager – Meta & Google will lead and optimize paid acquisition campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Google Search, Shopping, and YouTube. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this role involves both executing a proven Meta Ads strategy and building out a Google Ads program from the ground up. As the company's first dedicated performance marketing hire, you’ll have full ownership of campaign strategy, execution, and optimization — a unique opportunity to make a measurable impact in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute and optimize Meta Ads campaigns with a structured approach to testing and scaling.
- Build and scale Google Ads across Search, Shopping, and YouTube with innovation and strategic oversight.
- Manage full-funnel campaign efforts: prospecting, retargeting, and retention.
- Maintain daily campaign hygiene: tracking budgets, adjusting bids, refining audiences, and rotating creatives.
- Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to generate a continuous flow of ad creatives.
- Own the ad creative testing framework from test design to performance tracking and scaling.
- Create and manage performance reports using Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Shopify, and internal dashboards.
- Make independent, data-driven optimization decisions without reliance on analysts.
- Work with CRO and landing page teams to optimize funnel performance.
- Stay current on updates, algorithm changes, and best practices across Meta and Google.
Competencies And Qualifications
Must-Have
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Meta and Google Ads campaigns.
- Proven success with eCommerce or direct-to-consumer performance marketing.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret campaign data to drive decisions.
- Experience with campaign reporting using platforms like Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, and Shopify.
- Ability to manage and scale paid campaigns with minimal oversight.
- Familiarity with full-funnel ad strategy and creative testing frameworks.
- Self-starter mindset with a passion for performance and optimization.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in a high-growth startup or DTC brand environment.
- Familiarity with landing page testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams including creatives, developers, and analysts.
- Experience using tools like Triple Whale, Northbeam, or other attribution platforms.
- Understanding of customer lifetime value and cohort analysis in performance marketing.
