Role: Senior Engineer

Location: Remote first (monthly meetups in the North West or West Yorkshire)

Salary: to £75k

The team at MRJ have partnered exclusively with a hyper growth Tech for Good company who have embarked on an exciting new AI first journey as they look to grow their global market share. If you're excited by building AI-powered products from zero to one, rapidly prototyping and scaling; Working hands-on with Claude, GPT and other LLMs to build intelligent products; and Developing MVPs at pace, this is the role for you.

We’re looking for AI-first engineers who want to help shape the next generation of our industry. We’re forming small, highly autonomous engineering units designed to move quickly and deliver meaningful impact.

What does this mean?

• Each team is structured as an AI-native engineering pair (Lead & Senior Engineers)
• Initially we’ll have 4–5 product streams, scaling up to 10 streams over time, meaning significant opportunity to grow and influence how engineering operates as we expand.
• These teams will work closely together helping scale delivery and maintain strong technical standards.

What You’ll Work On:

• Building and scaling Tech for Good platforms used by millions across the globe
• Designing and delivering AI-enhanced engineering workflows
• Developing modern applications across AWS based infrastructure
• Collaborating with distributed teams to deliver reliable, scalable systems
• Helping shape engineering processes, standards, and ways of working

What We’re Looking For:

We’re open to different backgrounds, talent matters more than a specific tech stack.

You might be:

• A Lead Engineer ready to shape architecture and engineering practices
• A Senior Engineer who thrives in high-impact, small teams
• A T-shaped engineer comfortable working across the stack

We’re particularly interested in engineers who:

• Embrace AI-assisted development and modern tooling
• Enjoy working in small, fast-moving teams
• Have experience building and scaling systems in AWS
• Are comfortable collaborating with distributed engineering teams
• Care about engineering process, quality, and scalability

Tech Environment (current but open to change): AWS, Typescript, Nodejs, React, Next, Go, Codex, Claude
