This health-tech startup is the creator of a leading AI health companion that has surpassed one million global downloads. Based in New York City, the business focuses on consolidating complex data (sleep, recovery, activity, and nutrition) into a seamless, intelligent user experience. They operate as a small, high-velocity team that prioritizes aesthetic excellence and functional simplicity, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible within the iOS and watchOS ecosystems.

As a Product Designer, you will join a lean team with significant creative autonomy to shape the visual direction of an ambitious product roadmap. We are looking for a designer with a "visual-first" mentality who excels at high-fidelity execution and minimalist aesthetics. Rather than focusing on heavy documentation or lengthy discovery processes, this role is centered on delivering polished, modern, and world-class finished work. You will be responsible for translating high-level concepts into stunning, functional interfaces that feel both premium and intuitive.

Requirements

  • A World-Class Portfolio: Proven experience delivering minimalist, modern product designs with a focus on high-fidelity visual polish.
  • Design Tool Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including the creation of refined flows and interactive prototypes.
  • Platform Expertise: Extensive personal or professional experience with the Apple Watch and the iOS ecosystem.
  • Experience: At least 5+ years of professional design experience, ideally within the mobile app space.
  • Execution-Focused: Ability to work independently and drive projects from a conceptual spark to a finished, pixel-perfect product.

Responsibilities

  • High-Fidelity Design: Lead end-to-end design projects with a primary focus on visual craft and UI excellence.
  • Prototyping: Create sleek, high-fidelity prototypes to demonstrate feature functionality and aesthetic feel.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with engineers to ensure the final build matches the high standards of the design vision.
  • Feature Scoping: Translate broad product goals into clear, actionable design requirements without over-complicating the process.
  • Domain Research: Maintain a deep understanding of the latest visual trends and technological shifts in the wearable and health-tech space.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 – $175,000 plus equity, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance. The team operates out of a pet-friendly office in Chelsea, providing a vibrant work environment with perks such as commuter benefits, 401(k) planning, unlimited PTO, and daily catered lunch and dinner. If you are a designer who values craft over process and wants the freedom to build "life's work" in a fast-moving, high-growth environment, this is the ideal landing spot.
