Data Scientist / Marketing

One of the country's largest household goods companies is seeking a Marketing Data Scientist to support strategic analytics initiatives within their digital and retail media ecosystem. This is a 100% remote, W2 contract role focused on advanced data modeling, digital campaign optimization, and media performance strategy.

This is an exciting opportunity for an analytics professional who thrives at the intersection of data science and digital marketing. You’ll be diving deep into large-scale datasets from platforms like Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, and Google Ads, using advanced modeling to optimize campaigns, improve customer conversion, and shape bidding strategies. The team is collaborative and cross-functional, and they’re looking for someone who can turn complex insights into actionable strategy. Contract Duration: 6 – 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in advanced analytics or data science in digital commerce or retail media
• Proficiency in SQL,
• Coding experience in either Python or R
• Deep knowledge of digital marketing KPIs: ROAS, CTR, CLV, CAC, SEO, Glance Views, Attribution
• Experience working with platforms such as Amazon Marketing Cloud, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or similar
• Strong data storytelling and dashboarding experience using Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools
• Ability to design and deploy predictive models for bidding, targeting, and media performance
• Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to non-technical stakeholders

Desired Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Experience with search engine or media bidding optimization strategies
• Background in clean room technologies (e.g., AMC, Scintilla, Kroger Precision Marketing)
• Previous consulting or cross-functional project leadership experience
• CPG or retail industry experience is a strong plus

• Analyzing performance and customer behavior across retail media platforms

• Collaborating with digital, marketing, and eCommerce teams

• Managing project timelines and deliverables across internal and external teams

• Ensuring data quality, completeness, and governance across first-party sources
