What You'll Do (First 12 Months)
π Create Demos
- Ship weekly examples showcasing Motia's multi-language capabilities (TypeScript + Python workflows)
- Build production-grade showcases (like ChessArena.ai), demonstrating real-world applications
π Level-up Documentation
- Rewrite quick-starts for improved developer onboarding
- Author deep-dive tutorials on event-driven architecture patterns
- Create migration guides from Express, FastAPI, and other frameworks
βοΈ Speak & Write
- Publish technical blog posts on our blog
- Write guest articles for major developer publications
- Present at conferences (Node.js, PyCon, AI conferences)
- Create comparison content (Motia vs. traditional stacks)
π€ Nurture Community
- Daily Discord engagement - answer questions, surface feedback
- Convert power users into contributors and example creators
- Product feedback loop - turn community insights into GitHub issues
- Build contributor onboarding programs

You Might Be a Fit If You Have
Required Experience
- 5+ years as a software engineer with production backend experience
- 1+ year in Developer Relations for an OSS developer tool
- Portfolio of impact - talks, blog posts, or videos that moved real metrics (show us numbers!)
- Multi-language proficiency - Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript AND Python
- Technical writing - Clear, concise documentation and tutorial creation
- Video presence - Comfortable on camera with an authentic voice on social media
Essential Skills
- Backend framework expertise (Express, FastAPI, Django, Rails)
- Event-driven architecture understanding (queues, pub/sub, async processing)
- Serverless/cloud experience (AWS Lambda, Vercel, Supabase)
- AI/ML workflow experience (LangChain, agents, RAG systems preferred)
- Community building - Empathy for both early adopters and skeptics
- Feedback translation - Turn community insights into actionable GitHub issues
Nice-to-Haves
- AI agent frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, n8n)
- Visual workflow tools (n8n, Zapier, Temporal)
- Founding DevRel experience at a seed-stage startup

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary (USD): $80kβ$120k (IC) β’ $130kβ$160k (Senior/Lead)
