Job Summary
We are seeking a driven Construction Project Manager to oversee tenant improvement and buildout projects across a national footprint. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and end-to-end ownership of the project lifecycle from kickoff through closeout. The ideal candidate is highly organized, client-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced commercial real estate environment, consistently delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage timelines, budgets, and milestones for multiple tenant improvement and buildout projects simultaneously.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, maintaining clear and timely communication with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Lead project kickoff meetings, weekly construction calls, and site review walkthroughs to ensure alignment and progress tracking.
- Coordinate pre-construction planning, delivery schedules, vendor alignments, and project execution.
- Utilize internal tools (e.g., VisionTrack) and third-party platforms (e.g., Jobplanner) to manage project data and workflows.
- Maintain accurate records of project updates, milestones, and communication logs.
- Collaborate with Transaction Managers, Site Evaluation Specialists, and Account Managers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor contractor performance, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budgetary requirements.
- Provide detailed reporting and updates to clients and internal leadership on project status, risks, and milestones.
- Travel to project sites for kickoff meetings, walkthroughs, and client-facing visits as required.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, preferably within the commercial construction industry.
- Experience managing national retail or franchise tenant improvement and buildout projects.
- Working knowledge of lease terms and tenant coordination requirements.
- Understanding of permitting processes, landlord coordination, and timeline risk mitigation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software/tools.
- Highly organized and process-driven, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
