__Position Overview

Due to growth, we are seeking a Director of Marketing to join our team. This role is a key contributor in building a contemporary, performance-focused marketing organization, amplifying M&D’s growth strategy and strengthening brand positioning in both new and legacy markets. The ideal candidate will bring deep marketing expertise, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to balance high-level planning with tactical execution.

Location: Ideally, the candidate will be based at our corporate headquarters in Shreveport, LA or within a drivable, easily commutable distance. Remote work is possible for candidates located in the Dallas-Ft Worth area or other nearby regions with convenient access to Shreveport.

Key Responsibilities

As the Director of Marketing, you will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Marketing and collaborate closely with customer-facing sales and service teams to:

Brand Management & Messaging: Conduct market and customer research, refine messaging with SVP Marketing, and lead brand training to ensure consistency.
Demand Generation: Drive targeted marketing campaigns aligned with business performance goals, ensuring measurable results.
Events Marketing: Develop pre/post-show campaigns for industry events, manage content and lead tracking, and oversee signature event marketing.
Sales Enablement: Collaborate with product leaders to create sales tools (e.g., presentations, case studies, talking points) that support revenue teams.
Content Strategy & Development: Shape content strategy, foster storytelling opportunities, and oversee thought leadership content creation and optimization.
Customer Communication: Craft messaging for key customer communications, including industry updates, product insights, and monthly newsletters.
Marketing Operations & Optimization: Act as the primary liaison with SVP Marketing, develop a marketing dashboard, and explore new tools to support company growth.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
5+ years in full-service marketing, with a proven track record of driving results.
Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, analytics, and campaign optimization.
Experience planning and executing remote customer events and webinars, ensuring engagement and success.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced PowerPoint skills for compelling presentations.
Willingness to travel up to 25% for industry/trade events and visits to corporate headquarters (if candidate is not based in Shreveport, LA).

Preferred Qualifications

Direct marketing experience with pharmaceutical distributors, medium to large healthcare systems, specialty pharmacies, group purchasing organizations or other integrated healthcare organizations, with strong knowledge of industry trends and challenges.
Ability to develop and implement CRM strategies for optimal data utilization and customer engagement.
Experience leading and managing small to medium-sized marketing teams to drive strategic initiatives and performance, a plus.
