Moody's is looking for a Senior Engineer(DevOps) to be part of a team responsible for designing and developing the Tools & Automation for Infrastructure the Core Products suite in AWS.

You will be responsible for leading efforts to implement stability, and observability improvements to our Kubernetes container platform. You will be focused on SLI development, Automation, TOIL elimination, incident response, root cause analysis and monitoring enhancements. You should have the aptitude and enthusiasm for building and servicing highly distributed, scalable, and mission-critical systems. You should have a passion for automation and creating self-service mechanisms for customers. Create software design documents, architecture, sequence, class and related artifacts. Translate design inputs into development work items. Assist in providing estimates for levels of effort required to accomplish expected deliverables. Research new technologies and techniques to support leading-edge development. Provide an active contribution to the team responsible for the design, development, and implementation of critical enterprise scale applications.

Required experience and skills:

• Expertise with Deploying and managing AWS services (Networking, Storage, EKS, API Gateway etc.)
• Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Expertise in Containerization and micro service Architecture( Kubernetes, Docker, Helm Charts)
• Expertise in designing tools and Automation using any script (Python, PowerShell)
• Expertise using Observability Stack(Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana with a focus on observability and alerting)
• Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and automation and how to apply it with services such as Jenkins, Azure Devops, Circle CI.
• Experience with modern programming and scripting languages (Python, Go, PowerShell, C#)

Desirable experience and skills:

• Familiarity with Linux and windows Administration.
• Experience with a Developer Background
• Experience in performance measurement, bottleneck analysis, and resource usage monitoring
• Master of Science in Computer Science or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with 5 or more years’ experience.
• Experience with data access and computing in highly distributed cloud systems.
• Experience in agile development.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
