About The Role

As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will build scalable, user-focused mobile applications. In addition to providing input on app architecture and design patterns, you will create and review pull requests daily and engage with internal teams and directly with clients in an agile environment. You will work in teams with a product manager, designers, and other engineers to scope, design, and implement features.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable mobile applications using modern iOS technologies
• Build highly usable, intuitive, and performant mobile interfaces with Swift and SwiftUI
• Engage daily with your distributed, remote engineering team working on different layers of the application and infrastructure
• Collaborate with product designers and product managers to clarify requirements, prototype functionality, and build features
• Plan, estimate, and prioritize work in a remote, distributed team environment
• Guide our clients in best practices to achieve great project success
• Work directly with client stakeholders to share progress and collaborate on solutions

About You

The essentials:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of professional engineering experience

Core Skills

• Proficient in Swift with strong experience in SwiftUI and UIKit
• Solid understanding of iOS architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, etc.)
• Familiar with mobile performance optimization, app lifecycle, and debugging tools
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and other backend systems
• Comfortable with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and the App Store release process
• Flexibility & adaptability to different technical stacks and client environments
• Strong ability to communicate, collaborate, and empathize with others
• Good knowledge of design and architectural patterns and development best practices
• Previous experience collaborating on highly distributed teams

_What We Offer

_Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. Monks may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
